ULP members:

We start worshipping indoors on October4th starting at Grace (9:00 AM) and Arendahl (10:00 AM). Please view the worship rotation schedule on the calendar printed in the October Newsletter. Though there’s much about the COVID-19 outbreak over which we have no control, we can choose to embrace the kinds of practices that will keep us and your loved ones safe. The Center for Disease Control suggests:

• Everyone is to wear a mask for love of neighbor while worshipping.
• Everyone must adhere to the six-foot distancing guidelines when entering and exiting the church. Each church will have the entrance and exit doors clearly marked.
• All are encouraged to spritz their hands with the provided hand sanitizer as you enter the church building.
• Family households can sit together, but others are invited to use the 6-foot social distancing.
• The “sharing of the peace” and physical hugs are not permitted in the worship space.
• There will be music but singing will be very limited and with mask in place.
• Offerings will be taken, but in a manner to reduce contact. As you enter the worship space offering plates will be set in a specific spot for you to place your gifts.
• If you are sick, please love your neighbor by staying home.
• There will be communion at every held worship service. The communion kits will be handed to you as you enter the church.
• We will have you sign in upon entering the church for traceability at each worship service. If we discover someone has tested positive for COVID-19 within a two week period or less of having worship we will notify you.
• If at any time we need to shut-down because of an outbreak we will email, phone, or place it on the local broadcasted news.

Each church has the goal of providing a safe and healthy environment for our members, Pastor Sarah, and with those that Pastor Sarah visits in their homes. We are looking forward to seeing you back in church, but if you don’t feel comfortable in the indoor setting do not feel you need to be at church. Please contact others in your congregaJons and let them know about the worship service.

In Christ’s love,
Allan Kingsbury, ULP President
